About Rick

After graduating from Mandeville High School in 1988, Rick earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Alabama.  Upon graduation, Rick was commissioned in the United States Air Force, serving our country for over nine years and rising to the rank of Major.  A highly decorated officer, Rick deployed oversees in support of Operation Northern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom, and was also selected to serve as the Aide-de-Camp to the U.S. Air Force Director of Air & Space Operations at the Pentagon.

In 2004, Rick returned to Mandeville, the only place he truly calls home.  Now vice president and financial adviser at a major brokerage firm in Mandeville, Rick and his wife Stephanie have chosen to raise their five children here and to give back to the community that so richly blesses them.

Rick is passionate about serving his community.  Currently, Rick served on the Board of Commissioners for the 1st Recreation District/Pelican Park and was the Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis Division 13.  He is a former Chairperson of the Leadership St. Tammany Board of Trustees and a distinguished past president of the Northshore Kiwanis Club of Mandeville.  Rick was co-founder of the Coalition of Republican Professionals, and is currently president of the Northshore Republican Men’s Club.  Rick is also an active  board member for the New Heights Equestrian Therapy Center.  Additionally, for over 25 years Rick enjoyed volunteer coaching for various youth sports in St. Tammany Parish beginning in 1985.

Danielson was elected to the Mandeville City Council (At-Large) in March of 2012 and proudly serves as the Mayor Pro-Tem.
